1. Who we are. PDPA Compliance, Unique Entity Number (UEN) 53394982C (“we”, “us”), of 10 Anson Road, #29-04A International Plaza, Singapore 079903, runs this website. This policy explains how we handle personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
2. Personal data. In this policy, personal data means data about a person who can be identified from that data, alone or with other information we hold.
3. What we collect, and where. We collect personal data when you give it to us through: (a) the “Call me back” form and the contact form: your name, company or organisation, business mobile number and topic, and, if you give them, your email, best time to call and message; (b) WhatsApp: your name, company or organisation and topic, your WhatsApp number and your messages; (c) the Free Risk Score: your answers and score, and your name and email if you ask for the full report; (d) booking a call: your name, company or organisation, business mobile number, topic and the time you choose, and, if you give them, your email and message; (e) the urgent breach alert: your name, company or organisation and business mobile number, and, if you give them, your email and what happened.
4. Cookies and analytics. A visit-statistics tool and a page-use recording tool record how the website is used, and the LinkedIn posts and Google map on some pages may set their own cookies. Neither records what you type into forms. What this website collects, how long it is kept and how to opt out are set out on our page “What this site collects”. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. We use service providers to run this website: a contact-records service for our forms, contact records and monthly bulletin, an email service for the check results we email, and a hosted publishing service for our articles. Each is bound by a contract to protect personal data. What each one sees is set out on our page “What this site collects”.
5. Consent. When you submit a form, message us, take the check or book a call, you consent to our use of your personal data for the purposes in clause 6. You may withdraw consent at any time (clause 10).
6. Purposes. We use personal data to: (a) reply to your enquiry and arrange calls; (b) show your check result and send the full report you ask for; (c) prepare proposals and deliver services you engage us for; (d) improve our website and check, using records that do not identify you; (e) send you updates, if you have agreed separately; (f) meet our legal obligations.
7. The Free Risk Score and artificial intelligence. Your check answers are scored on our own system. To write your top three gaps in plain words, we send your answers, sector and role, but not your name or contact details, to an artificial intelligence (AI) service provider.
8. Who we share with. We share personal data with service providers that help us run the website, forms, check, bookings, messaging, email and records, such as our web host and our security, analytics, messaging, email, AI and contact-records providers; with our advisers who work on your enquiry; and with public authorities where the law requires. We do not sell personal data.
9. Overseas transfers. Some of these providers store or process data outside Singapore. Where they do, we take steps to ensure the data is protected to a standard comparable to the PDPA.
10. Access, correction and withdrawal. You may ask to see the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent, by writing to our Data Protection Officer (clause 14). We will respond as the PDPA requires. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to continue a service you asked for.
11. Protection. We protect personal data with reasonable security arrangements.
12. Retention. We keep personal data only as long as the purpose for which it was collected, or the law, requires.
13. Data we handle for clients. Where we process personal data for a client under contract, for example as its data protection officer, that client’s privacy policy and our contract with the client apply.
14. Contact our Data Protection Officer. Email geachonglim@pdpacompliance.com, call 6222 1000 or write to the Data Protection Officer, PDPA Compliance, 10 Anson Road, #29-04A International Plaza, Singapore 079903.
15. Changes. We may update this policy. The last-updated date on this page shows the current version.
